A dock and war ships can support the position nicely. Quickly attack it and build up military buildings to produce units from. The first important step is to quickly establish a base in the middle of the map where the gold piles are located. Build up an economy quickly and make sure you develop your base nicely. This mission starts off like a regular random map game.
In the mission Acropolis, your objectives are to capture the ruins and build 2 sentry towers next to the ruins. Once you break through their defense, you can easily go ahead and kill the farms. Make sure you have a good economy to support constant unit production, then build up a diversified army and replenish your losses while attacking them. The Pelasgians are located in the west of the map. This practically pits you in a direct war against them. Farms will also be required to sustain a longterm food production. For this, you must gather enough food to go to the 2nd age (Tool Age) and build a market. To fulfill your first objective, you have to build 5 farms. Once you have done this, go ahead and build a town center and develop your economy. This serves as both a good starting position and it quickly takes an opponent out of the game. Walk down along the water and eliminate the yellow opponent (Danaans) quickly. The best position to start is directly to your right. The mission starts off with only a few militia and villagers. Your objectives are to destroy the Pelasgian farms and to build 5 farms on your own. I don't want to get a patch and suddenly find out that I can't join nearly as many games because no one uses it! submitted by /u/tjwrona1992 The ESOC Patch sounds like it makes a lot of balance changes and generally improves the gameplay and also has the restriction of only joining games created by people who also have the patch. BUT if you take the patch it looks like you will no longer be able to connect to any games created by someone who doesn't have the patch. It sounds like the CC ESO Patch does not make any actual gameplay changes but instead changes how online games are managed. One seems like an official patch ( CC ESO Patch) and the other seems like it is a community created patch ( ESOC Patch) I recently stumbled across 2 different patches for this game. I ended up getting the AoE 3 Complete Collection on Steam and have been playing online multiplayer using the Asian Dynasties expansion. I'm just getting back into AoE 3 after about 8 years or so.
